AWARD-WINNING SUPERYACHTS
On May 18th 1988 the legendary superyacht Octopussy reached a speed of 52.3 knots on her delivery trial, making her the fastest luxury yacht in the world at that time. She was a Heesen. Since then Heesen has gone from strength to strength. During the Monaco Boatshow in 2011 the SATORI has been awarded by HRH Prince Albert of Monaco with the prix du Design as the best design of the show and the QUINTA ESSENTIA has been awarded by yacht Design as best of the Monaco show.

THE PERFORMANCE OF LUXURY
The enviable status of Heesen within the international yachting community and the highly prestigious position of the brand are the result of the profound commitment of very single employee to the company principle: the performance of luxury. The finest yachts come from the finest shipyards. Since 1979 we have accrued unparalleled  experience as the world’s leading builder of aluminium yachts. In 1992 we took this expertise into the field of traditional steel displacement yachts. We are committed to maintaining excellent standards in our sheds. We work with the latest technology and are constantly updating and expanding on our facilities.

In addition we collaborate with world-renowned interior designers such as Remi Tessier and Bannenberg & Rowell. At Heesen, excellence is standard. We are constantly innovating to test new techniques in superyacht design and technology, increasing speed, efficiency and levels of luxury. We are creating homes on the water or our owners, and each employee invests care and pride into every aspect of their work. This is why owners return time and time again to Heesen. We will never say no to a client or designer’s ideas. At Heesen, we like a challenge. Do you? “Working at Heesen allows me the freedom to do my job in the way I like it. As each yacht is custom, they are like pieces of art and this makes the job always different and therefore interesting. Not one day is like the others!” says Raoul Rodrigues Alves, Design & Development (Interior).

LOOKING FOR NEW TALENT
Our youngest employees are our future. The average age at Heesen is 38. It is a young environment and we are committed to your professional development and growth within the company and the industry. For example, take Head of  Marketing and Sales, Fabio Ermetto, who started as a trainee in the naval architecture department and is now on the Board of Directors.  As part of an international team, you will need a good command of English. We seek people who are passionate about their role in the team, committed to creating the finest superyachts and forward-thinking enough to join a company where new ideas are celebrated alongside age-old craftsmanship and expert technique. At Heesen we are known for our personal approach to business. Everyone here, whether they work in the engineering department or as a naval architect, is dedicated to one purpose – building the finest yachts for our clients.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Heesen feels like a family business. Frans Heesen still walks the yards on a regular basis, taking an intimate interest in every yacht we produce and greeting each worker by name. We have a very active staff association that organises trips and events, such as a Sinterklaasfeest for employees’ children and Christmas and holiday parties. Football fans can also have free tickets to FC Oss football matches at the Heesen yachts Stadium. We have contracts with local health clubs and medical centres and offer additional discount opportunities where possible. Experienced craftsmen spend time passing on their knowledge to the younger generation. Each individual is given several days a year to attend specific courses, seminars and conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and training. We want you to develop in the way you want to develop. “My role at Heesen gives me the opportunity to work with the most beautiful materials. I enjoy teaching young students and also having contact with colleagues of other disciplines and learning about them. For me it is not only work, it is a hobby with no limits", says Paul Carol, Interior Workshop, recently awarded as best practical trainer 2010 for passing on his skills.
